When Japan began to emerge as a major trend, we created the first illustrated series to explore every aspect of the country through original texts and photography for La Gazzetta dello Sport. It was a great success. We then developed Wa: Japanese Practices for Happiness, a collection of 40 volumes covering topics ranging from Ikigai and Kintsugi to Ikebana and Shiatsu. Each volume combines cultural and philosophical insights with practical applications, culminating in the creative experiments of Silvana Sperati—bespoke workshops that we conceived, documented, and photographed to translate a cultural trend into a transformative everyday lifestyle. As always, we oversaw every aspect of the project, from the cover illustrations and richly illustrated interiors – featuring original photography and commissioned texts – to the advertising spot and press campaign.
