We accomplished an extraordinary undertaking: 150 volumes in The Secrets of Italian History series, featuring entirely original content written by journalists, scholars, magistrates, and researchers; 100 volumes on the Mafias, featuring profiles, investigations, trials, criminal networks, and in-depth analyses of organizations, events, connections, and documentary evidence; 100 volumes in The Days That Changed History, covering events ranging from Chernobyl to the fall of the Berlin Wall, from Woodstock to the creation of the State of Israel and the Nakba; and 60 volumes on Wars, spanning the fronts of World War II, the Congo, Palestine, Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and the many conflicts of South America. These series have defined years of historical publishing and helped shape a way of writing history that intersects with journalism, where non-fiction and current affairs find a compelling balance and where understanding the world becomes engaging for readers of all ages. In addition to this remarkable effort in scouting authors, researching content, and building an unprecedented publishing program, we should also mention the collections for which we developed the editorial content, design, and communication strategy: Women in History, Inside History (an illustrated history series featuring extraordinary photographic archives), Dynasties, Crimes of History, and Illustrated Middle Ages.
